Uganda's State-Owned Mining Company, Built for Every Ugandan

The Uganda National Mining Company (UNMC) is a statutory company wholly owned by the Government of Uganda. Established on aPRIL 25, 2024, under the Mining and Minerals Act, CAP 159, UNMC manages Uganda's commercial participation in the mineral industry - domestically and internationally.

With Uganda sitting on some of Africa's most significant untapped mineral wealth: gold, copper, cobalt, iron ore, rare earth elements and more; UNMC is positioned to unlock that potential and ensure its benefits flow to all Ugandans
